Economic Development Marketing
And Planning For Your Community
Lawrimore has helped many counties, towns and cities over the past 20
years strengthen their local economies, attract new business, and plan for
the future. We are the most experienced economic development marketing
and comprehensive planning firm in the Charlotte Region.
Economic development marketing services include all the
options linked under Marketing and Communications on this website. For
economic development clients, these include logos, branding, brochures,
websites, public relations, videos, annual reports, newsletters, advertising
and more. We have won a number of state and national awards for our creative
work for EDC and tourism clients.
Comprehensive Planning And Strategy System (COMPASS™) covers all the issues vital to a community’s success, creating not only
the most effective strategies but also the most effective structure of
people and organizations to help concentrate all available resources on
the greatest opportunities. COMPASS™ includes all the features of the CEDS
option (below) but goes further to encompass all the issues facing the
community and to integrate them in a comprehensive manner. See our Community Development page for more details.
Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) focuses on all the issues that affect economic development, including
product (land and buildings), infrastructure, finances, marketing, small
business and related concerns. This approach has the power to
significantly enhance a community’s economic development success and
provide as much control as possible over market-driven changes which
impact it. CEDS creates both strategy and structure to ensure effective
implementation. Lawrimore will also work closely with the county EDC and
the county CEDS to be sure that everything is smoothly integrated.
Economic Development Planning (EDP) involves one group of community leaders in developing a marketing-focused
economic development plan. It evaluates current resources and practices
and recommends improvements which will enhance economic development
success. It does not establish any on-going structure but does give a
small community a viable strategy for improving the economy and tax base.
